Training Methods

Training about training is the ideal setting for "learning by doing." The design of the course, as well as the methods used by the instructors, will demonstrate and model the principles of good training. Training methods will include

  • facilitated discussions

  • a case study

  • individual exercises (paper and pencil)

  • role plays

  • small group exercises

  • games

  • videotaped practices

Individual Practice

Participants practice their facilitation skills, which will be videotaped for analysis, coaching, and feedback. At the end of the workshop, each participant will receive a tape of his or her practice sessions for further analysis and study. During the workshop each participant will have the opportunity to study his or her own tape individually and with the help of the group. Intensive individual feedback and coaching will be provided by the instructors.

The Instructors
