Administration
Once
the survey is designed, you can administer it through your own
intranet, or AHA can administer it for you. Where
confidentiality and anonymity is important an outside third
party administrator can bring credibility and encourage
openness. We add value:
-
Administering
surveys at our secure, confidential website, and providing
paper copies when respondents do not have access to the
web.
-
Providing
visual, impactful reports presenting results.
Survey
Analysis

Providing conclusions and actionable recommendations
Case
Studies
Women
in Leadership: A global energy company identified the need
to get more women in leadership positions. They asked
AlexanderHancock Associates to develop and provide a training
program for women. Our consultants influenced the organization
to first collect data to better define the issue, to identify
reasons why there were so few women in leadership positions,
and to get input from women in the organization about what
skills and competencies needed to be enhanced through
training.
The
first step was to interview all the women who currently were
in top leadership positions – not a difficult task as there
were only 17. Based on that interview data, AHA designed a
survey which the client administered on their intranet. Almost
1200 women responded, and most of them added extensive
write-in responses.
After
analyzing the interview data and the survey data, AHA custom
designed training for Women in Leadership on 2 levels: one for
those who aspire to leadership, and one for those already in
leadership positions. We also engaged the 17 women executives
to speak to training groups and field questions about how to
develop as leaders in this organization.
A
woman is now CEO of a major arm of this organization.
Cultural
Inclusion: A global technology company identified the
potential threat on the horizon of a shrinking and more
diverse workforce in the near future. Competing for talent in
this marketplace is essential for success. They selected
AlexanderHancock Associates as their Diversity consultant to
help them ensure that the Company would continue to be able to
attract the brightest and the best talent. We recommended a
Cultural Assessment before embarking on training, revisions to
recruiting and retention practices, or other strategies.
Working
in partnership with our client, we designed a Cultural
Assessment survey administered initially to all employees
based in the U.S. Third party administration by us provided
employees with the safety of confidentiality and anonymity.
Over 60% responded, and approximately 30% of those wrote
extensive comments.
AHA analyzed results, presenting a detailed
report to the Human Resources exec, and a summary report to
the Senior Staff. This
information provided a solid foundation for a Cultural
Inclusion Strategic Plan addressing real priorities. In some
cases the survey data validated assumptions, and in others the
data provided totally new insights, ensuring that the plan
targeted appropriate areas.
