Mastering
Difficult Conversations
People-to-People™:
How to have conversations that make a difference. While
technology has fueled growth and innovation, human connections
often remain the weak link in our organizations. B2B may be a
growing economic force, but P2P – people-to-people
interaction – remains a challenge. Attendees of this program
are engaged in intensive videotaped learning labs where they
practice a variety of difficult conversations with a trained
facilitator. They are equipped with tools, techniques,
guidelines, words to say and not to say to ensure that the
conversations achieve a positive result.
Managers who attend these lab sessions successfully
apply P2P™ skills and techniques to conversations
involving performance problems, teachable moments, career
development, performance appraisal, delegation, and many other
situations. Currently 10 modules of this program are
available, and clients may customize the modules to fit their
priorities.
Obtaining
User Requirements addresses the software development
industry’s need to obtain accurate and complete user
requirements before development begins. Attendees learn how to
obtain clear, complete information regarding user
requirements, as well as how to write those requirements in
customer friendly language that can also be accurately
translated into results by systems analysts and developers.
This is a two day program which includes videotaped practices
and writing exercises, which are critiqued by facilitators and
colleagues.
The
Expert Facilitator enables systems analysts and developers to
use state of the art facilitation techniques with cross
functional teams responsible for software design and
development. These techniques include ways to use questions to
draw out different points of view; control techniques for
dealing with difficult personalities and meeting dynamics;
agendas, parking lots, group norms, and other tools to control
meeting process; and special emphasis on decision tools and
problem analysis tools. This
2 day program includes videotaped practices of a simulated
team meeting.
Managing
Remote Teams helps managers deal with the complications and
specific problems that occur when teams are distributed in
remote locations. Managers learn how to stay on top of what is
going on, keep their teams informed and in the loop, coach and
develop talent, deal with motivational issues and performance
problems, and ensure collaboration and sharing. A variation,
Managing Virtual Teams, is for cross-functional team leaders
whose team “meets” only through electronic communication.
Attendees learn how to use the technology optimally to ensure
collaboration and communication, as well as how to manage
interpersonal relationships that impact the work of the team.
These two day programs help leaders of remote and virtual
teams build more solid personal relationships as well as
develop efficient collaboration techniques to ensure high
performance.
Diversity
and Inclusion is a training program coupled with consulting
processes to help companies reap the benefits of a diverse and
inclusive strategy. More than a training program, this
initiative focuses on supporting your organization’s efforts
to be a desired employer – through a culture survey, an
examination of recruiting and retention strategies and
performance management practices, facilitating strategic
sessions with senior management to determine the
organization’s philosophy and intent, and training to
enhance both awareness and skills.
